Harmony Day at North High

Harmony Day Sausage Sizzle

Orange Free Dress Day

At North High we celebrated National Day against Bullying and Violence and Harmony Day on Friday 18th March.

Our school held an orange free dress day and our Junior Secondary Leaders organised a sausage sizzle in order to bring students together.  In addition to this our school based wellbeing program, WAVE (Wellbeing, Academia, Values, Education), included targeted lessons about taking a stand against bullying, as well as the importance of embracing diversity as part of our acknowledgement of Harmony Day.

Students were reminded about our zero tolerance policy on bullying at year level assemblies and pocket advice cards were made available to students.  We actively promoted that students need to be aware of how their words and actions impact on others and their wellbeing.

Thank you to our Junior Secondary Leaders, Mr Vickery and Mrs Costigan for being the driving force behind this important event. Proceeds from the free dress day and sausage sizzle will be donated to the student council.
