Our staff

Our teaching staff is lead by a Principal and 3 Deputy Principals with 13 Heads of Department and a Head of Special Education Services.

 

The teaching staff include:

  • Year Level Coordinators
  • Classroom teachers
  • Learning Support and Special Education teachers
  • Instrumental Music teachers
  • Our students also have access to visiting staff for Hearing, Visually and Physically Impaired students, migrant education and other special services.

 

Our Business Services Manager leads the Support Staff comprised of:

  • Administration Officers
  • Teacher Aides
  • Scientific assistants
  • Technical Officers
  • Operational Officers
  • Cleaners and Grounds Staff

 

Other non-teaching positions include:

  • Guidance Officers
  • Community Education Counsellor
  • School Nurse
  • School Based Police Officer
  • Chaplain
 
The tuckshop is also well supported and run by convenors with voluntary helpers from both parents and students.

Staff Development Priorities

Each year a portion of the school budget is set aside for professional development of our staff. Our priorities for the learning and development of our workforce have included –

  • Pedagogy - Art and Science of Teaching (ASOT)
  • Literacy and Numeracy
  • Junior Secondary
  • Professional Standards for Teachers 
  • Essential skills for Classroom Management
  • Use of iPads in the classroom
